Clerk-Treasurer
The goal of this office is to offer accurate records and financial information in a professional manner, enabling citizens to make informed decisions affecting the quality of their lives, and the Village Council to accomplish the goals and objectives mandated by the people of Hicksville.
The Clerk-Treasurer shall be elected every four years and is the chief fiscal officer of the Village as well as the Clerk of Council.
The Clerk-Treasurer shall keep the books of the Village, exhibit accurate statements of all monies received and expended, of all property owned and the income derived therefrom, and all taxes and assessments.
The Clerk of Council shall attend all meetings of the legislative authority of the Village and keep a record of its proceedings, and of all rules, resolutions, bylaws and ordinances passed, which shall be subject to the inspection of all interested persons.
Diane Collins took office December 1983 and is serving her 8th consecutive term in office.
Diane is married to Greg Collins. They have three children. Kristin (John Pierman), Kirk (Lisa) & Kimberly. She also has three grandchildren, Xavier and Mati Pierman and Beckett Collins. Diane is a member of Friends of the Library, Rosary Altar Society, Eagles Auxiliary, the Hicksville Beautification Committee, Ohio Municipal Clerks Association, the Ohio Finance Officers Association, Ohio Public Treasurer's Association, and the International Clerks Association where she has received the 5th Master Municipal Clerk designation in the state of Ohio.
In her spare time she likes to challenge herself with cooking and trying to grow plants.
Diane's favorite part of her job is interacting with the residents.
