The goal of this office is to offer accurate records and financial information in a professional manner, enabling citizens to make informed decisions affecting the quality of their lives, and the Village Council to accomplish the goals and objectives mandated by the people of Hicksville.

The Fiscal Officer is appointed by the Mayor and approved by Council. This postion also serves as Clerk of Council

The Fiscal Officer shall keep the books of the Village, exhibit accurate statements of all monies received and expended, of all property owned and the income derived therefrom, and all taxes and assessments.

The Clerk of Council shall attend all meetings of the legislative authority of the Village and keep a record of its proceedings, and of all rules, resolutions, bylaws and ordinances passed, which shall be subject to the inspection of all interested persons.
